About the Role

The Cash Transactions Supervisor role will be for at least 18 months and is responsible for overseeing and reviewing the day-to-day aspects of the team as well as assisting in the more complex matters across the team's cash transactional responsibilities. Ensuring the completion to a high standard of all the daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations from multiple bank accounts and in varying currencies. The preparation and processing of client refunds as well as taking a lead in all aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure timely issuing of payments across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires line management experience, a methodical approach and a high level of attention to detail due to the industry's regulatory requirement. In addition, the Cash Transactions Supervisor will be responsible for driving change and the ongoing development of the team's current processes. The role requires experience of been able to identify and lead change to ensure that we are continually delivering a high standard of service to our internal and external clients whilst maintaining robust controls across all areas. 

Primary responsibilities include: 

 

  • To oversee and review the production of the daily, weekly & monthly bank reconciliations in line with the firm's current processes and policies.
  • To oversee and review the processing of internal and external payments in line with the firm's processes and policies to ensure timely payments across multiple jurisdictions within the agreed time frames.
  • To oversee and review the processes of client refunds in line with the firm's processes and policies.
  • Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to the appropriate resolution as well as being a point of escalation for the Cash Transactions team.
  • Ongoing review of process documentation and to take ownership for all processes. Identify and manage change and ensure adequate controls are in place and that they are robust.
  • Line Management of the team members including objective setting and performance management
  • Provide a high standard of professional customer service to both internal staff and external clients with a high level of both written and verbal communication.
  • Ad hoc duties appropriate to the role (inc cover for other finance shared service functions)
  • Complete all Statutory training within the time frames set.
  • Ensure compliance in line with the Firm's procedures and, where applicable, local country legal requirements including the appropriate anti money laundering legislation

EXPERIENCE

 

What You Bring

  • Previous experience as a Cash Transaction Supervisor or experience gained in a similar role.
  • Strong Line Management experience.
  • A knowledge of the Legal industry particularly in a Finance role.
  • A background in process improvement and implementation and a proactive approach to change.
  • Advanced knowledge of Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Great numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience of using investigative skills.
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency environment
  • Experience of working with overseas banks
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • A team player, capable of working together towards a common goal.
  • Experience of excel, word and Oracle.
  • Able to deliver to strict deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good Organisational and prioritisational skills.
